Whether you are a heavy lifter, a Crossfitter, or a just a plain gym rat, make your daily trips to the gym more convenient and easier by storing these six items into your gym bag
High-quality wireless Bluetooth headphones/earbuds
There is essentially nothing that can ruin a highly anticipated workout more than a pair of earbuds or headphones that barely do their jobs. Worse? Walking in into the gym without one! So, avoid boring workouts by keeping a pair of reliable, high-quality headphones in your gym bag. Nail your workouts and crush the weights while listening to crisp, high-volume music that completely isolates the noise around you. Whether it is a pair of Power Beats or a pair of Bose Sound sports, a good pair of earphones is a great workout investment.
What’s a gym session without some yummy protein shake to chug down? Top off your workouts with a serving of your favorite protein shake. Make sure that you always keep your whey protein powder in your gym bag for immediate consumption right after your workout.
Another must-have in your gym bag is a handy, spill-proof shaker cup. Basically, without this, then bring a tub of protein powder to the gym with you would only end up as a hassle. There are a number of different brands that manufacture shaker cups, but personally, I prefer a nice BlenderBottle. Not only does this specific shaker gets my protein powder mixed very well (yes, no lumps!), BlenderBottles also come in different designs. One of my all time favorite is their ProStack series wherein the shaker itself comes with a couple of containers that can hold protein powders and pills, which can be easily attached and detached to the shaker, adding more convenience to your daily workouts!
A reusable water bottle
Who in the world likes to wait in line just to get a sip of h2o from the water fountain? Avoid queuing only for a few sips by bringing your own reusable water bottle to the gym. Always keep one in your gym bag so that you can just easily fill it in with water before you start your workout, and just refill them in whenever you need to. For this one, a personal favorite would be resusable water bottle from Yeti or Hydro Flask as these brands of insulated water bottles keep your drinks cold for significantly long periods, lasting a consistent temperature even after your workouts.
An extra shirt
After a strenuous, heavy session of lifting, it’s always nice to have a fresh shirt handy. This is another must-have in your gym bag, most especially if you tend to sweat a lot. Additionally, you may also opt to slide in your own mini towel to your gym bag to keep yourself dry and sweat-free during your workouts.
A tube of deodorant
It should be a no-brainer to keep a tube of your deodorant in your gym bag and make sure that you exit the gym smelling good and fresh, no matter how intense your daily workouts are.
